Connecting South Florida Youth to a Historic World Cup Experience
The donation, made alongside Stephen Ross through the Florida Council of 100 Foundation, will help ensure young people from across South Florida can be part of a historic moment as the region welcomes the world for the FIFA World Cup.
“Major global events have the power to inspire young people and expand their sense of what is possible,” said Julia Quinn, director of philanthropy for Griffin Catalyst. “We’re proud to help create an experience that allows students across South Florida to be part of this moment and see firsthand the opportunities emerging across our region.”
Ticket distribution will be coordinated through Boys & Girls Clubs serving Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties, providing access to students who may not otherwise have the opportunity to attend the tournament.
“Making sure that young people from across South Florida can experience this event firsthand is exactly the kind of legacy we want these Games to leave behind. I am grateful to the Florida Council of 100 Foundation, Ken Griffin, and Stephen Ross for helping make that opportunity possible for hundreds of students.”
The FIFA World Cup will bring visitors, businesses, and leaders from around the globe to South Florida, showcasing the region on the world stage. For participating students, the experience offers a front-row seat to a historic event taking place in their own backyard.
